We Rage We Weep Alzheimer Foundation's Arts & Alzheimer's program enables those 70% of people with Alzheimer's or dementia living at home with their caregivers to get out into the community, socialize and try their hand at art as well as enjoying some of their favourite music. The program is designed to not only help those with dementia but support their caregivers by offering them a break from their 24/7 caring responsibilities. Caregivers may leave their loved ones with the program facilitators to enjoy some much needed respite or they may choose to stay and observe or participate. The program is unique to other programs as its sole focus is the art and music with a simple consistent format every week.

Arts & Alzheimer’s Partners

We Rage We Weep Alzheimer Foundation is proud to administrate, market, provide community outreach and funding for as many clients as possible to participate in this valuable program. A brief overview of our partners in this endeavour follows:

Ballet Victoria

In downtown Victoria at the back of St. Andrews Church is a dance studio behind stained glass windows. Every day, twelve professional dancers and apprentices train and rehearse original works being created right there, right now.  Ballet Victoria’s strategy, branded Art-Eco, ensures that its art is economically viable, by reinvesting in Victoria’s economy, inspiring the community to innovate and flourish.

Pacific Opera Victoria
www.pov.bc.ca
Pacific Opera Victoria (POV) has earned a reputation as one of Canada's leading opera companies, thanks to its dynamic repertoire choices, its original productions, and its commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for artists and audiences. Founded in 1979 and incorporated in 1980, POV has become one of Canada's most exciting arts institutions, with an audience that is, per capita, two to five times that of any other Canadian opera company.
